Actually, it is possible but in very few instances. The odds of being successful in this venture are quite low. Hence most of these sites always have fine print at the bottom stating the results are not assured.
Barring certain instances, fat loss and muscle gain simultaneously is nearly impossible. This is due to the fact that both of them are opposite goals, thus confusing the body.
In order to build new muscle, your body requires energy. It means you need to eat a lot, eat more calories that you are burning. For fat loss, you have to do the opposite. You should eat lesser calories than you burn. Trying to both the simultaneously will just bring results to grinding halt. So you will give up easily. While it would be excellent if the energy requirements for building new muscle as obtained from the stored fat. Unfortunately, it does not happen so. This is because during fat loss, your body is in the catabolic state and building new muscle is not its main goal.
But the good news is there are exceptions, particularly beginners and that too those who are overweight. Beginners are those who have never done weight training before. If they are put on a diet and exercise routine meant for fat loss, they can get a lot of muscle mass while simultaneously losing fat. Why they show better reaction to weight training is because they are quite far away from the higher limit of their capability of getting obtaining muscle mass. Closer to come to this threshold, your gains will start trickling. Longer you do weight training; slower will be your muscle gains than a person who is new to iron game.
So what is the solution if you want to lose fat and put on muscle at the same time and you are not an obese beginner? The answer: modify h rules slightly and obtain a solution.
